Synopsis for "In Battle Joined!"

(This story picks up where Uncanny X-Men #45 left off) The Avengers enter Magneto's fortress to find Cyclops standing over Quicksilver's unconscious body. They attack him, and Cyclops flees. They remember back, when Angel contacts the Avengers and brings them here. The X-Men are brainwashed and attack the Avengers. The Angel sneakily attacks Magneto, as was part of a plan by the Avengers and the Toad also betrays Magneto. The X-Men come to their senses and escape with the Avengers as the fortress explodes. Toad leads Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch out safely as well. all that is left in the water after the explosion is Magneto's helmet.
