History

Following the death of his parents, Peter was raised by this Aunt May and Uncle Ben as if he were their own child. Alongside his neighbor Mary Jane Watson and tutoring subject Harry Osborn, Parker found few friends in high school and is often the butt of jokes by bullies Flash Thompson and Kong.

After that fateful day at Oscorp Industries, Parker put his new found abilities to fight and won a local wrestling challenge. The promoter of the fight gave Peter a new costume and Peter was given the name Spider-Man. His wrestling career ended when he was accused of stealing the promoter's money. In a bad mood, Peter allowed a burglar he encountered on his way home to escape from a robbery. His actions would later haunt him.

Arguing with his uncle over poor grades and a bad attitude, Peter ran off to cool down. When Peter returned home, he learned that the same burglar from the robbery had murdered Uncle Ben in his absence. So guilty of his inactions which led to the death of a loved one, Parker vowed that as long as he was capable he would serve and protect others unable to. As Uncle Ben once said to him, "With great power comes great responsibility."

Since gaining his new powers and a new aim in life, Peter has defeated the self-created Green Goblin; Norman Osborn, created with Oscorp Industries' experimental 'Oz' formula, who seemingly disappeared into the river.

Spidey then learns of the Kingpin of crime, and has tried continuously to bring him down. He has battled Electro and the Enforcers in the process.

Confessing his secret identity to Mary Jane, the pair embarked on a relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend.

The Webslinger has since battled Doctor Octopus, witnessed the return of the 'Oz' addicted Norman Osborn and encountered Rhino and the Ultimate version of Iron Man.

The arrival of Gwen Stacy at Midtown High School put pressure on the relationship but survived. Spidey has been impersonated and 'hunted' by the police. Spidey battled the imposter, who had killed captain Stacy.

Peter then met his long-lost childhood friend, Eddie Brock Jr., after discovering boxes of old documents and video tapes in a hidden room in his basement, indicating both their fathers worked on the 'Venom Project'. Eddie is a student at ESU, and shows Peter 'their inheritence'. Peter then swings back to ESU to take back a sample of the suit, but spills some onto him, and forms into the black costume.

When Peter races after an armed robber, the suit takes a turn for the worse, recollecting the death of Uncle Ben, Peter loses control and falls off a building onto some electricity cables. Due to his superpowers, he survives.

Peter then returns to ESU, confronting Eddie and revealing his identity. He then destroys the rest of the formula.

Eddie then pulls another flask from storage, and transforms into Ultimate Venom.

He tracks Peter down to Midtown High and the two battle, and Eddie steps on a loose power cable, and is vaporized instantly.

Spidey has since faced Sandman, helped the Ultimates battle the 'Ultimate Six' (Green Goblin, Electro, Doc Ock, Sandman, Kraven, and (supposedly) Spider-Man), met the incredibly illusive Black Cat; Felicia Hardy (who seemed to be killed by Elektra), re-battled Doc Ock, had a movie made about him (from which he didn't get a penny), fought the Punisher and Boomerang.

During a big fight with the huge Gladiator, Spidey was badly hurt, and had to go to Doc Conners for medical treatment. This left Conners with a sample of Peter's mutated blood.

Over the course of several months, Conners and his assistant, Ben Reilly, start to create some sort of semi-clone, combining Peter's DNA with his own, that escapes early in its incubation process. " Little Ben" starts feeding off people to grow quickly in strength and size, consuming it's victims while showing a small child-like face to the victim.

The creature mimics the moves of Spider-Man to swing to the Parker house, where it finds and consumes Gwen Stacy.

Peter then confronts Conners outside his home, and he confesses to the DNA splicing.

He fights Carnage throughout the city, and when it consumes two more victims, it forms into an almost human form, looking incredibly like Peter's own father. The fighting continues, and Peter finally tricks the creature into jumping down an industrial chimney.

Fearing her safety and constantly at odds with her placing herself in danger, Peter broke off his relationship with Mary Jane.

Peter has since been 'body-swapped' with the X-Man Wolverine, met Johnny Storm; The Human Torch, encountered Doctor Strange, the Ultimate version of the Hobgoblin; Harry Osborn, discovered Black Cat (Felicia Hardy) is still alive, and battled Hammerhead, Elektra, Moon Knight, Iron Fist and Shang Chi (all in 7 comics).

Peter is currently "dating" Kitty Pryde from the X-Men. However, after the events in Ultimate Clone Saga, Peter resumes his relationship with Mary Jane Watson, much to Kitty's dismay. Kitty and Peter are again teamed up in the story arc 'Death of a Goblin'.

Death of a Goblin

Peter starts off his day normally (with a quick encounter with the Shocker), and goes to school. Peter and Kitty are paired in a homework assaignment, with Mary Jane commiserating about the project. As Flash taunts Kitty and Peter about their child (the homework assignment: raising a baby doll) saying that it's half spas, half mutant (a 'Spasmutant'), Kenny McFarlane hits Flash and tells him to apologize. Kitty seems to take an interest to Kenny. Meanwhile, at the Triskelion, Carol Danvers (taking over for Nick Fury as he is trapped in the Squadron Supreme Universe) talks to Norman Osborn, as Fury promised his freedom for his scientific knowledge. Danvers turns his deal down, with Osborn seething in anger. Later during a check of the inmates in the Triskelion, an explosion occurs, with Osborn and many other inmates escaping from the prison, including the clone of Gwen Stacy. Osborn briefly battles Octavious, before being incapacitated by Electro. Osborn attacks more SHIELD agents, and takes down two Helicopters, and killing numerous civilians. Osborn then escapes to the media networks saying that Fury put him away without trial, and that Fury wrongfully took away his son. Peter and MJ see this while passing by an electronics store, and MJ runs away in panic. After Peter reassures her, they go back home, with Mary's mother exclaiming that they are leaving town, due to Osborn's escape. Peter then inturrupts his aunts date with Miles Warren saying that she should get as far away as possibel. Peter then goes to Norman's penthouse to see if he's there but battles Electro instead. Both of them are taken into SHIELD custody. Kitty Pryde then sees Peter's capture and goes to rescue him. They both escape, but Danvers states that she was using Peter as bait. The two and SHIELD agents respond to an emergency call to an aoartment where Osborn currently is. SHIELD and Peter battle Osborn, but they both fall from the apartment. Kitty fases Peter through the street and they both head home. Peter has one surprise though: Osborn has beaten him to his. Peter then responds to a SHIELD note sayin to turn on CNN where Harry Osborn is exposing the truth about his father. The broadcast was a ploy to attract Osborn to the Helicarrier. Harry then transfomrs into the Hobgboblin and battles his father along with Peter and SHIELD. After beating Harry to death, Osborn tells Danvers to kill him. She responds by saying "Gladly". Peter then yells furiously at Danvers, "STAY AWAY FROM ME!! YOUR NOT FURY, AND I DON'T KNOW YOU!! STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM ME!!". The next day, Peter informs of his class about Harry's demise, and states that Harry was a hero.

Peter and Kitty continued their crime-fighting partnership. One night in the Bronx, they took down the Screamers, who were using Banshee. Wolverine took out the last one, who came for Peter's help in figuring out why he was positive for Banshee. Peter was able to determine that Logan's DNA was used as a basis for Banshee.

Powers and Abilities

Powers

Spider-Man posesses superhuman strength, speed, stamina, agility, durability, reflexes, recuperative powers, balance, coordination, and sense of equilibrium.

Spider-Man's hands and feet have the ability to manipulate the inter-atomic binding forces of matter, allowing him to form temporary molecular bonds between his body and another object. This enables him to cling to solid surfaces and scale walls simply by placing his hands on them. He also possesses a "spider-sense" which alerts him to danger. This takes the form of a tingling sensation at the base of his skull. Through experience, Spider-Man has learned how to sense differences in the various tingles he feels, determining whether a danger is potential or immediate, how intense a threat it is, what direction it is coming from, etc.

Abilities

Peter is an accomplished scientist, completing his father's research on adhesives at age 15. His uncle said he was "as smart as they come."

Thanks to the spider venom that courses in his veins, it makes him immune to vampire bites.

Strength level

As Spider-Man has not fully grown to adulthood, he is not as strong as his Earth-616 counterpart yet, however he is portrayed as being sufficiently strong enough to lift and throw conventional vehicles and cars with ease, it should also be noted that he has been shown to be significantly stronger than Captain America as he overpowers him as they wrestled each other over footing. Spider-Man is currently capable of lifting 6 tons like the Ultimate Spiderwoman a clone of himself. However, when Peter reaches adulthood it is assumed that he will be able to lift 10 tons like his Earth-616 counterpart.

Weaknesses

Mortality, over-protective, short-tempered.

Paraphernalia

Equipment: Spider-Man's wrist-mounted web-shooters discharge thin strands of web-fluid at high pressure. On contact with air, the long-chain polymer from the web-shooters knits and forms an extremely tough but flexible fiber with extraordinary adhesive qualities.
Transportation: Spider-Man moves through locations by shooting a web-line and attaching it to an object (most often a building). He then swings, shoots another web-line, attaches it, and repeats the process.
Weapons: Spider-Man's webs can be used to ensnare and immobilize his opponents.

Notes

  • The origin of the Ultimate Universe Spider-Man is inherently similar to that of the original with a few modern updates and stylings.
  • Peter is currently 15 years old and expected to turn 16 in issue 100 of the Ultimate Spider-Man series.

Trivia

  • No trivia.
